The Portland Grays endured an embarrassing pasting as a potent Silver Sluggers
lineup tallied 12 runs while Jaret Wright(1-0), with relief help from Ramiro
Mendoza, allowed Portland 4 runs.

Moises Alou enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He caught a hold of a bad pitch
for a Grand Slam homerun (his 2nd of the season) in the 1st inning and
doubled in the 7th inning.  Silver simply wore out the Portland pitching
staff, scoring in 6 different innings.  

The losing pitcher was Jason Schmidt(0-1).  He was unable to control the
Silver offense and allowed 6 hits and 4 walks in 3 innings.
