In a close game it was the Annadale Anteaters 6, the Northwoods Moose 4 at
Shea Stadium.

In the bottom of the 6th inning Annadale went on top for good when they
tallied 2 runs on 2 hits.  The highlight belonged to Carlos Lee who made the
Annadale fans a happy lot when he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his
1st of the season).  Northwoods could do no damage in the 9th.  

David Wells(1-1) allowed 4 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Wells got help from Latroy Hawkins who was credited with his 1st
save.  Ben Sheets(0-2) suffered the loss.  Despite losing, he struckout 10
Annadale batters in 7 innings.
