Annadale scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Placido Polanco started the rally when he laced a single. J.T. Snow stepped up next and he smashed a two-run homer (his 1st of the season). Marte earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 1st save. The winning pitcher was Shigetoshi Hasegawa(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Brad Lidge(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.
