Mark Lentz
Taggart Titans

American League Director

Mark is a co-founder of Brassworld. He is now a computer operator in Minnesota.   In addition to Brassball, Mark plays in the Mid-American, BRASS, BRASSWorld, and IBA leagues.

Like most people his age that grew up in Wisconsin, Mark has fond memories of Bambi's Bombers and Harvey's Wallbangers.  However, instead of recalling Robin Yount or Gorman Thomas as his favorite, he was drawn to Cecil Cooper.  As any good Brewer fan remembers, it was a toss from Yount to Cooper that ended the 1982 American League Championship Series and sent the Brewers to their only World Series.

Mark has a wide array of other favorites, including the notorious (Pete Rose, Albert Belle and Ty Cobb) and the superstars (Mark McGwire and Alex Rodriguez.)   I imagine that it's easy to be a McGwire fan after he tosses you a ball over the dugout during batting practice.  Despite the years of losing, Mark still claims to be a Brewer fan.   Like many, he's dreaming that new Miller Park to turn them into winners again.

Mark and longtime friend Corey Weisser of the Northwoods Moose auditioned several baseball games before finally discovering Strat-O-Matic.  They gave try-outs to Pursue the Pennant, APBA and a few others before buying Strat as they were traveling home.   While Mark was converted immediately, it took a bit longer for Corey to make the transition.  Mike Thomas was the first of their bunch to get Strat.

Odds and Ends…Mark in avid reader, favorites include Ayn Rand, US and Baseball History...he listens to Rachmaninov...and is addicted to the Civilization PC Game.  He also guarantees that he will one day win a Brassworld title.
